Severus did the sweetest thing last week and got me my very own owl. We're both using him for post, but it's actually quite nice to have a pet around the house to take care of. It gives me a bit of purpose.

Anyway, we haven't named him yet. I've been picking through names and haven't been able to settle on one. Severus wants 'Jareth' and I rather like it, but I want to make sure I really know the bird before I name him. That's a bit odd, isn't it?

It's been really hard on me being home all of the time. I love my new job, don't get me wrong, but I'm also never getting out of the house. It's safer this way. I know it is. It's just hard.

Maybe I can come and visit you sometime this week? I hope you both are taking care of each other.

Severus and I have something that we'd like to tell all of you. I'm not sure if it will really come at a surprise to any of you considering how close we've been these past few years, but we've decided to give a relationship a go. So, right. We're officially dating.

I got the paperwork in the post this morning. I'm giving Errol a bit of a rest before I send him off again and I'll start going over it now. So far, from what I can tell, everything looks fine. I'm excited to start work!

My little boy is all grown up! I want to take a moment to thank everyone who came out to help us celebrate Harry's coming of age, and especially to Marlene who graciously let us have the whole thing at her house.

Well, that's it. An era of my life is over and done with. Today was my last day at Slug & Jiggers. Slug & Jiggers was my first job ever and I've been working there for nearly ten years now, so it's a little worrisome when I think about what the future might hold. Still, I'm excited by the prospects of the future and welcome what it might bring my way!

I may have made contact with someone who can help us, but I'm not sure he wants everyone knowing. He seems very secretive and it's no wonder with what he's been through. I'm not sure what to do with this information on my own, or who to go to with it. I need your advice.

I don't know why I still subscribe to The Prophet, but I suppose it's better to know what's coming than to be blind sided by it. I feel sick this time of year because just thinking about those poor kids and what they are about to go through.. it does me in!

Most of those kids won't get as lucky as I did. Most of those kids are going to be sold to a really horrible pureblood family and be a slave for the rest of their lives, and for what? Because a select few people in the world believe they are inferior? It's not fair!

I wish there was something more I could do about all of this. I wish I could buy them all and give them good lives, but I'm a fugitive myself. I'm doomed to the same fate they are if I'm caught.

Bloody hell. I'm so mad. I get like this every year. You'd think I'd get used to it, but how could I ever?

They're bringing out the big guns now, aren't they? I don't know how I am supposed to keep a job even with an alias. The Dementors know the difference. I have to quit. Does anyone in the Ministry know how long before the Dementors are released?

I'll get a muggle job.

I know we shouldn't take anything that woman writes to heart, but I have to admit that hearing about Vampires and Werewolves just wandering around Hogsmeade has me a bit on edge. What's next? They come into Slug & Jiggers asking for ingredients to Polyjuice Potion? As far as I am concerned, I want nothing to do with them and they are not welcome to the store when I'm there.
